The 30-hour custom printing process utilizes BioCir flex, a groundbreaking thermoplastic made of 51% biological material and 49% petrochemical, reflecting a commitment to reducing the environmental footprint. 

The fashion industry, notorious for its high carbon emissions and extensive water and land use, is witnessing a transformative moment with these shoes. Traditional footwear manufacturing relies heavily on materials like rubber, plastic, metal, and adhesives, which pose significant disposal challenges and contribute to landfill accumulation. In contrast, Vivobarefoot's shoes, although not ready for the compost bin alongside organic waste, can be returned to industrial composting facilities where they break down into non-toxic substances. 

Set to be priced between $254-$330, these shoes represent more than a fashion statement. They symbolize a crucial step towards tackling the fashion industry's recycling challenges.
