Bad News for Samsung Galaxy Owners: Android 15 Release Delayed Until Next Year

Samsung has officially confirmed the news many Galaxy phone owners hoped to avoid. The much-anticipated One UI 7 Beta, Samsung’s Android 15 preview, is delayed. While there were speculations that it would arrive soon, the company has now stated that the beta will only be available to developers before the end of the year. This is a significant setback, as the update includes critical security and privacy upgrades at a time when threats to the Android platform are increasing.

The bigger blow, however, is that the entire Android 15 release will be delayed until next year, aligning with the launch of Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S25. While current Galaxy S24 owners will eventually receive the update, they must watch as Google Pixel and other Android users receive Android 15 much earlier. Adding to the disappointment, Google has already hinted at an early release cycle for Android 16, which puts Samsung even further behind in catching up.

Samsung Galaxy users who invested in premium devices may feel left in the dust as competitors like Google push out updates faster. These delays could weaken Samsung’s standing in the high-end smartphone market, especially as it struggles to keep up with Google and Apple.
